NEW: custom rom v2.0 and romkitchen for nec 900c!

- flash this only if you already have bootloader version 4.10!!!! you can check your version information in the NEC firmware info applet in control panel on your 900c.

rom tutorial: my first published tutorial, about editing ce common roms (ce 3.0, 4.x. this is NOT WM5!).
might be a little long, but you don't need to read all parts if you don't want to.
this also includes a rom tool package.
all of this will be updated later.

download this only if you want to make your own custom roms. this is not needed if you just want to flash my custom roms and just want instructions on flashing.

update: i updated the package to version 3.0.

changes for version 3.0: great new tool included and many errors fixed, also lots of new info added.
changes for 2.0 and 2.1: the tutorial now has a contents page for better navigation, and there will be even more improvements later to make it more user friendly.
the modules and other advanced parts are updated with full details and with corrections, so the tutorial finally has a usable advanced section.
ce3 specific information is added in the tools part and ce3 tools added also.
many more romtools especially in the experimental part. that part is just included for those who want to play :)
now also included is a total beginner tutorial with good screenshots, by Rich Hawley (hpcnec.com).
coming soon: Rich will soon have another version on deleting files!

download OS and bootloader backup tools:

you can backup your current OS image with this. read readme to find out which tool to select for this purpose.
the backup won't be in a flashable format, read my rom tutorial for info on how to convert it to flashable format that the bootloader accepts.

first edition rom (old version!): first edition, a little bit experimental but fully featured.
later, i will try to make a version for hpc2000 900 too.
there is a changelog and installation instructions included below. for historical reasons or if someone wants to try this out.

cmonex's rom version 1.0, update with updater bootloader. read the instructions that are separately downloadable below.

3. if you already updated to 4.10 using the update kit, but no longer have the files, use C+F keys method.

download bugfixes for version 1.0:

these are optional. if you don't have issues, no need to install them.

first fix: this fixes mouse cursor for usb mouse users (it was off). to install, simply unzip and copy the file into \windows.
(the other mouse fix (to make cursor transparent) for users that don't use a usb mouse, will come soon :) evaluating different solutions now.)
second bugfix: fixes the sipselect exe which makes dialogs in ppc apps appear perfectly. again, to install, simply unzip and copy the file into \windows.
install this only if you use the sip! (most users probably don't.)
third bugfix:: fixes printing. simply unzip and copy the file (gwes.exe) into \windows. this eats more ram, install it only if you need printing..
